Warped Landscape Abstractions

 Warped Landscape Abstractions

Warped Landscape Abstractions are a series of photomontages made from conventional landscape photos. The original landscape photos were placed into a computer where each one was copied several times and layered on top of one another. The different layers were then manipulated in various ways, usually warped into abstract configurations of the original photographs. Each of the warped landscape images were then placed together into many different kinds of montages. Often these montages incorporated the original landscape photos.

Conceptually, the new Warped Landscape Abstractions form a new kind of surreal landscape that appears to have grown from the original conventional landscape photos.
