The Energy Gathering and Storage Structure

The Energy Gathering and Storage Structure

The Energy Gathering and Storage Structure is a prefabricated, modular, energy efficient commercial building system. It consists of a series of different size steel segments that can be added in different ways in order to increase the square footage of the buildings to accommodate changing needs. The segments can be joined together directly and/or separated with sections of glass. The roofs are also designed to catch and direct rainwater into storage containers.

Large solar cell panels that generate electricity from the sun can be added to the building system either directly onto the roof of the structure, or suspended above it on large support frames. In addition, large electricity storage batteries can be integrated into the system in order to provide all of the energy needed to power the facility.

The design of the Energy Gathering and Storage Structure attempts to display ways in which alternative energy gathering and storage systems can be integrated into commercial buildings in a new and aesthetically pleasing ways, where the hardware such as solar panels and batteries are celebrated rather then hidden out of sight.
