Self Portraits
Self Portraits is a series of mostly digitally altered photomontages of myself. Some of the photomontages incorporate unaltered images of my face, legs, hands, and arms. Some incorporate other kinds of graphic elements as well.
All of the photomontages were created in an attempt to present never before seen abstractions and composites of the human body that hopefully suggest a new kind of self-portraiture for the 21st century.
In most cases, normal photographs were first taken by myself of my face, legs, arms, and hands. All of those photos were isolated from their original backgrounds with my computer. Some of the isolated images were then manipulated in various ways in my computer, and others were not. The manipulated and non-manipulated images were finally placed together into never before seen and unexpected composites.
