The Slanted Yellow Pavilion

The Slanted Yellow Pavilion is a prefabricated, modular, re locatable, public art structure made of colored sustainably grown wood. Twelve rows of two foot wide slotted panels of varying lengths are hinged together end to end, and then bolted together side to side in order to form this particular structure.
The same panels can be disassembled and reassembled again and again in different locations to form many different kinds of shapes and sizes for various site-specific requirements. The number and size of the panels can also change in order to create an endless array of different kinds of structures.
Some of the hinged panels are set into a specific position at the base so visitors can use them as places to sit. The Slanted Yellow Pavilion is an ideal place in and around which to gather with others in a public place like a park. Solar cells can be mounted on some of the panels in order to generate electricity from the sun, for the community in which the structures are located.
