A Public Sculpture
A presentation of a large public sculpture, and photomontages generated from that sculpture. The sculpture was formed by rotating various parts of a cube in and out in certain ways that created the final unexpected shape. Two different colors were applied to the sculpture in order to differentiate the inside of the cube from the outside.
Photos were taken of the final sculpture with a digital camera. The sculpture was isolated from the background in a computer. These images of the isolated sculpture were then manipulated in various ways in the computer, in order to form completely new shapes.
