The Mobile Eco-Pavilion was designed to demonstrate how the M-vironment system (an alternative modular building system) can be prefabricated into large transportable sections, which can be trucked to nearly any site. Once these sections arrive at a specific construction site, they can be arranged into various configurations to form a specific size and shape structure suitable for events like traveling exhibits.
In this case, sustainably grown wood slotted panels are hinged around a steel frame, which is fitted with sliding glass doors and windows. The hinged wood panels form an adjustable shell around the glass, which shades the interior.
Various alternative energy gathering and storage systems can be added so that the Mobile Eco-Pavilion can function off of the conventional energy grid. Of course the Mobile Eco-Pavilion can also be used for other purposes such as for alternative housing, mobile offices, and commercial and retail facilities.
