I got my first job rejection today. Among other things it said:
"After much consideration, it has been decided to continue to pursue other candidates whose work and experience more closely match our current workload and staffing ojectives."
This morning I called all of the places to which I applied and just left messages. No one was in the office. Do I call again next week? Does that show initiative or make me the creepy ex-boyfriend? I have 5 more places to hear back from and there are a few more places to which I plan to apply. How many firms do most people apply to before they get a bite?
