Bet you thought I decided to quit, right? No. Tomorrow is the last day of High Performance Building Envelopes. We have to present our projects at Kling. Here are some pictures of mine. The project was to design a skin for the new FDA building. The wall has a southern exposure and is 500 feet long. My concept uses a bent, structural curtain wall clad in stone to shade the lower levels which are glass. The third floor is a library and gets the glowing through the stone, the middle is office space and has a more diffuse light, while the lowest level is a lobby and recieves bright light.
Our studio mid review was pushed back until the Wednesday after spring break. So that means working over spring break. I didn't really have plans anyway, other than to just kind of mill around, hang out with non-school friends, maybe go to my parents' house for a few days.
I have my first photo crit tomorrow. That should be interesting. I'll write about it if anything cool happens.
Rollins was on fire on Saturday. He went for 2 hours, 45 minutes talking about everything from Wal-Mart, to Ted Nugent to the Trans-Siberian Express and vomit. It was a laugh riot.

Nice Hasselhoff!!!
My photo teacher got blood all over one of my prints.
Hasselhoff, you live under a dark star....tell us the bloody print story!!
He was pointing to one of my prints and saying something when an old cut on his finger opened up and he smeared blood across my print. He just said "Woops, guess you'll have to reprint that one."
heheheh...nice.
(the third image is especially telling. Nice work.)
lol!
a very proustian moment for me as this project reminds me of the keypunch cards my mom used to bring home from the ap dept at the whirlpool corp.
blood. hmm, pencils, pen, sharpie shoot. but blood, blood beats them all! rock star! ha.
me like the work !!!
No spring break filled with over consuption of alcohol on some beach? Shame shame.
YOu do know that I hate undergrads and the above spring break suggestion is pretty much the most undergrad thing you can do.
Apparently the grad student spring break is over consumption of alcohol while working in studio. Sounds like deja vu to me.
