The project is located in Gu'aotou District, Pingyang County, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It started as a competition for the low rise office buildings along Shuishen avenue and retail commercial plus offices along the waterfront. We created office/retail blocks with a character unique to Pingyang, taking cue from the Aojiang river, interpreted as ‘pebbles’ along the coastline. After winning the competition we started developing the commercial parcel positioned to be a thematic food and beverage attraction along the river. The retail blocks were designed with porosity and maximal river views, to promote engagement with the park and attract visitors from the north. A compact circulation and linkway system connect all the independent volumes seamlessly. Due to a tight budget, we have to limit the amount of glass façade utilized, and thus designed curved solid surfaces and substituted natural stone coatings to cut cost. Together with the mixed-use office parcel and 240m landmark tower on the East, they create a harmonious language and interesting skyline, forming an iconic façade for Pingyang county.

项目位于浙江省温州市平阳县古鳌头区。一期竞标内容主要包含水深大道沿线低层办公楼和滨水零售商业及办公楼。我们创造了在平阳独特的办公/零售区块，灵感来自鳌江，被解读为沿海的“卵石”。在赢得竞赛后，我们发展沿江商业区，被定位为沿河的主题餐饮景点。零售区块设计尽量满足地面通透性，同时最大化河景面，以促进与公园的互动，并引导北面住宅区与景观带的对话。紧凑的流线和连廊系统无缝连接所有独立商业体量。由于预算有限，我们只能减少玻璃幕墙的使用，因此设计了弯曲的实体表面，并采用仿石材涂层以降低成本。项目与东侧的综合办公区和240米的地标塔组合一起，营造出和谐灵动的语言，趣的天际线，形成了平阳县的标志性立面。
