Integrated building of hotel and serviced apartment, with Dubai Retail Mall as the podium. The hotel, designed with a central core is oriented such that all the rooms have a view to the Burj Dubai tower or the marina waterscape. The hotel was added after the mall design was done, and it was challenging to integrate the 2 different uses, especially at the basement and carpark areas. As a key person of the design team, I followed through the entire design process of the hotel development, from conception to construction drawing documentation, including managing the individual contract packages, interior fit out packages, as well as façade, lighting and landscape coordination. I was involved in the back of house planning for the hotel at the early stage, and it was quite complex to fit in all the requirements of the hotel. We worked closely with the hotel, kitchen, F&B and spa consultant, to resolve the detail design and planning of various areas. I was also in charge of the layout plans for the service apartment and penthouse, and worked closely with the interior designers to refine the layouts. The building crown design was complicated and we had to coordinate closely with the facade, structure, external lighting and BMU supplier.

这个是连接迪拜购物中心的酒店和服务式公寓塔楼。塔楼采用中心核心筒，确保每个房间能看到迪拜塔或者水景。酒店是商场扩初完成后加入的，所以极具挑战性，尤其是各功能空间与塔楼和裙房的衔接。我参与全程设计，从概念方案一直到施工图绘制。另外还负责和各专业协调设计要求，包括室内设计，景观设计，厨房设计还有幕墙与灯光设计，并把这些要求都逐步落位到图纸上。当时还没有酒店管理公司，所以我司套用迪拜其他五星级酒店的标准为依据，设计了地下室后勤区域。塔楼平面大部分由我负责，也与室内设计师配合推敲多种户型。后期也跟餐饮顾问和水疗中心顾问协调各区域的细部设计。 这个项目强度非常高，因为要追赶在建商场的进度，项目定位标准又高，需协调多方顾问要求。塔楼顶部造型比较复杂，我司与幕墙，结构，室外照明还有擦窗机顾问多次配合以达到最优的视觉效果。
