They turned on the tree lights at University Walk. It made me feel like a princess...or at least Christmas-y.
The critics for our review. I found out a lot of professors and critics funnel in from Princeton. Seems a little suspicious to concentrate a lot of people from only one school.
Dean Wigley hobbled into our review with his broken foot. He's a really good critic, and is really interested in the student's work. He goes to every single review and participates. I think all schools should adopt such an active dean!
Brief: To create an Air Laboratory for scientists at Peck Slip, Southside Seaport NYC.
Jenna- Paths following a narrative of climate change. Specific laboratories spanning history of climate change, climate science now, and research for the future.
Anne - A modern interpretation of Piranesi's cartceri etchings, altering it from doom and gloom to heavenly spa.
Owen- Elevated sculpture, carved ground plane for the public.
Sam - Bike Building connecting to citywide bike paths.
Jessica - Grand staircase with visible programmed spaces above.
Zoe - Dig down and flood. East River and inundation retention wall.
Michelle - Swiss cheese building!
Ray - Fluorocarbon molecular metaphor skin park!
Me - Air Park not Air Lab. Space back to the City.

Yeah. It was the fourth project from a series based on the theme of Atmosphere. We had 5 weeks to crank out a building!
