Song:Babyface by the Elected
A side project from Rilo Kiley. New album drops May 17
Place: Living Room Studio
Time: 12:10 PM
On campus, Bacchanal is throwing a concert featuring Snoop Dog. I'm at home nursing my postpartum depression after birthing my final project and trying to do my paper for Kenneth Frampton's Architecture History II.
There isn't much structure to this post since there is just too much to get out there. I'll just say it's a teaser for the next 3 or 4 posts.
1) Final review
Amazing! Our professor had to get two Dyson Air Multipliers to alleviate the heat emanating from all the bodies in the room.
We had twice as many reviewers as students in the studio which made for a great dialogue.
Lebbeus Woods even said something positive about my project which is definitely a good thing.
"The architecture school whose dean tells its students that they have to design a box unless they have a damn good reason not to will be the most revolutionary architectural institution on the planet." -Lebbeus Woods
I will post photos of the actual review once I receive photos from the students taking pictures and a possible video of my review.
An earnest act of appreciation for my critic Christoph a. Kumpusch, a brilliant and dedicated professor. This semester really invigorated what I love about architecture and academia. Having a tirelessly energetic professor who blurs the lines between professor and friend allows us to create with full conviction. He is truly dedicated to his students and the profession. Thank you Christoph for your passion and dedication!
2)I went on a GSAPP Alumni tour of the Kahn designed Roosevelt Island Park. Beautiful day in a beautiful city is all I have to say.
3) AD&R II drawing. Almost finished, here it is insofar. I will post a collection of people's ad&r drawings once we submit on Tuesday for review.
4) End of the year show
Here's a sneak peak to the e-book we're producing for our end of the year show. I'm working on the layout with my friend and studio-mate Yurika Sugimoto It will be launched online with an accompanying class website. Updates abound!
