Part of going to GSAPP is living in New York City. There is an image that this city sets out for the world and it is true to an extent. I want to document unique neighborhoods in New York to defy the popular belief.

Here is a series of photos from Forest Hills, Queens right off the Forest Hills-71st Avenue E F M R trains.

It is a community prevailed by tudor style buildings anchored by a disney land-like city center.

(This house made me laugh, The height of the overhang and the position of the columns in the center as opposed to the periphery just made me shake my head)

Starting next week I'll begin a series of conversations with different students in my program on their perspective on architecture. I'm curious as to see how our generation perceives architecture and how that will affect the profession in the future.

nice pics. as far as I saw, NJ (like Elizabeth...Newark..) has some nice examples of this "renaissance"-"tudor"-ish salad..

would be nice if you could map them and show the contrast (perhaps drastic) between blocks, juntions, neighborhoods..
