Week's Summary of Events:
This week was my final week were I continued my previous duties and went onsite to the John C. Tune Airport again to check up on the progress that has been made and see everything one last time before I was finished with my internship at FH. The airport terminal was looking awesome and the downstairs library at FH's office was beginning to come together after all the work I have put into it. I am going to miss the friends I have made, and I had fun working with them. We all went to lunch at The Pharmacy on my last day. It is really good by the way! It was a bitter-sweet goodbye!
Week's Focus: Week 9:
FH Design's design philosophy is branding. Branding is their main focus for their clients. This is why they have a marketing department and graphic designer to aid them in branding design. They do a lot of hospitality and commercial retail such as Subaru and various boutique hotels all over the U.S. Their philosophy is to give the client's business a specific look and feel to convey what the client's business stands for and if they are doing multiple locations, they want to keep that look consistent. This philosophy also goes for multi-family housing which is a strong market currently. Branding is an effective approach to commercial design. It is good to know what your client's company wants to convey to not only give them a beautiful, functional space, but also to help their business.
Getting to Know Someone New:
This week I have gotten to know everyone is the office. I have been there for nine weeks and I have come to get to know the company as a whole. I said my goodbyes to each and every worker at FH and it was great to have a sense of community with them after merely nine weeks. It has been a really great experience.
