Mission
Texas A&M University's purpose is to develop leaders of character dedicated to serving the greater good. An Aggie's character can be described using our university's six core values: excellence, integrity, leadership, loyalty, respect, and selfless service.
Description
We are located in College Station - about 90 miles northwest of Houston. As the first public institution of higher learning in Texas, we are one of a select few universities with land-grant, sea-grant and space-grant designations.

On July 1, 2012, Texas A&M University officially became a member of the Southeastern Conference.
