Interned for the city of Columbia, South Carolina: attended Design Development Review Commission
and Board of Zoning Appeals meetings to gain an understanding of the logistics in making changes to the appearance of properties and the process of applying for a change in property zoning. Also developed a feasibility report for a dilapidated flourmill in the Vista Design District of the city: contacted potential investors and construction companies as well as design firms in order to get an idea of the potential to redevelop the building while compiling a document showing the feasibility of redevelopment. In 2013, the feasibility report helped to secure a Certificate of Design approval which was unanimously awarded to the city of Columbia in order to begin building restoration.
