killer road trip. glad to see someone actually attest to the "beautiful landscapes of MO" aside from a MO native (such as me).

      AP,

Personally, I think that it is a very successful project. The artwork is the most successful public art I've seen, LOCALS come out to enjoy it as much as the tourists. Ghery's band shell is quite exquisite from a side where you can see how those panels are held up. We saw a free Antonín Dvořák concert there, and we can testify that the acoustics are great.

I don't like the front of the band shell, it looks too symmetrical and out of scale. I wasn't a fan of that grid they put over the band shell area either, I think it is out of scale and could have been done much more elegantly.

      The bridge is pretty cool.

      Arjun,
for some reason I missed the fact that you are just accross the way, we should hang out.

yikes...i can't believe you included a picture of that huge cross in texas. that thing was an embarrassment in my opinion. it honestly looked a somebody bought a pre-fab shed kit, fucked it up bigtime and ended up with a gigantic cross.

it was big though...i'll admit that it caught ones attention & curiosity as it could be seen on the horizon from something like fifty miles away.
