Eight single-family homes are gathered by a brick wall that hugs the buildings at the base. This wall is a playful interpretation of a front porch. It’s cut into with windows, gates, stoops, and steps up and down along its length. It allows for the creation of front courtyard spaces with a degree of privacy from the street. The project is wrapped in a material with limited seams, giving the impression of stacked blocks.
