This 14-unit, energy efficient multifamily urban infill project project consists of two separate buildings flanking a shared green courtyard. The team took great care to restore a badly deteriorated 19th century tenement building whose front facade served as a generator of design for its modern addition. Demolition materials were reclaimed and used for kitchen counters and other built-in millwork and stairs.
