Another satisfying part of my career has been bringing new life to old buildings- transforming them in ways the owners never could have imagined. Creating an inspiring comfortable home that reflects the owners life style within their budget and time frame is the greatest reward.
Status: Built
Location: Various
My Role: DESIGNER or CODESIGNER - Farmhouse Co-Designed w/Katherine Ross & Studio Addition with Caroline Boutee
Additional Credits: I was a partner with Katherine Ross under our company Athena Design for the "time and again" HOME MAGAZINE project and the owners Gay Adair and Greg Taylor were responsible for the interior embellishments.
The Charlottesville Live Work Addition/Renovation design was greatly driven by the owner's Kathleen's Free's unique Multi- purpose program and initial vision. She determined the exterior colors with my advice and a relative was responsible for the hand crafted front door.
Hipping up a PreWar was my own home's charted transformation that I prepared in an attempt to see how my Design experience would translate into a tangential industry, such as staging, during the downturn in the economy when residential architects were being shown out of companies as if they were deck chairs on the Titanic.
