UK College of Design Welcomes New School Of Architecture Director
The University of Kentucky College of Design announces the appointment of Jeffrey Johnson, AIA, the new Director of the School of Architecture. Johnson joins the faculty from the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at Columbia University.
“In addition to his balance of practice and academia, Professor Johnson is a promising leader in the School and College because of his experimentation at a range of scales from interiors to urban design,” said Dean Mitzi Vernon.

Michael Speaks has been appointed as the new Dean of Syracuse's School of Architecture
It was announced to the faculty and students today that our new dean is going to be Michael Speaks. I'm pretty excited to see what he can bring to our program as far as a fresh perspective and entrepreneurial endeavors.

The Amsterdam Summer Travel Studio
University of Kentucky College of Design Assistant Professor Kyle Miller led an eight-week design program in Amsterdam for twelve undergraduate students. The students participated in two courses: a six-credit design studio and a three-credit seminar that comprised a series of intensive design workshops.
The primary objective of the design studio was to prototype design and program solutions for large, recently abandoned buildings in Amsterdam.
