Nicolai reviews the new Tschumi Parthenon museum....
Does Tschumi have a lesson to teach the current crop of star-architects about context and sensitivity..
"But in mastering his ego, Mr. Tschumi pulled off an impressive accomplishment: a building that is both an enlightening meditation on the Parthenon and a mesmerizing work in its own right."

Please add a e to the the in the first iine?
namhenderson, are you drunk?!? Add an h, e, e, e, ch, and a . - or am I missing a joke?
@ Liberty Bell..
Yes and no...
I was hoping someone would edit my entry and add an "e" to the first "the" in my post
What is god's yarn? Is it talk like a pirate day?
I'm sorry, I'm not being a jerk, I'm honestly confused by all the dropped letters in the post - is there a play on words I'm missing: "were", "yarn" and "trasures" and "staritects"? At first I thought it was no e's in the title, then realized that "were" (which should be "where") has e's.
So I'm confused.
But the article is great, and the building certainly seems impressive and restrained. It is a surprise coming from Tschumi, though I admit to not knowing what he's been up to since Parc de la Villette in the 80s! My only quibble with the slideshow images is the lay-in lighting in the main gallery looks too commercial.
Cheers, thanks for the edit!
Very nice building. Time to re-evaluate Tsuchmi :)
