KMA worked with the regional real estate organization, HG Fenton, to transform an existing 1990’s retail center in phases with a radically new concept of architecture that would lead to the eventual improvement and property value increase of the entire complex. The multiple-building property fronts on a high-visibility corner and will involve exterior building and site renovation of one building in the first project phase. The completed project reflects the area’s commercial and industrial character with shipping container-like materials and also appeals to the consumer with its clean organization. This project is also designed to be a low-maintenance facility with its use of a wood-like material called RESYSTA instead of natural wood for low or no maintenance.
HG Fenton Co. is a large organization with a large portfolio of commercial and industrial properties. This project was unique in our minds because the Project Manager for HG Fenton was very involved in our design process and pushed hard for a radical new concept for the area. The clients' risk has paid off with increased land value and rental returns for Phase I.
