This is an all new 8,900 s.f. catering facility designed for the Santa Clara County Office of Education for the Head Start Program. It includes an industrial catering kitchen, offices, conference room, toilets, shower, dishwashing, and warehouse with loading dock. The meal capacity is approximately 5,000 meals per day. Hot meals are delivered by vans in padded heat retaining boxes to the various schools that they serve.
Shown in the background are several high capacity cooking kettles. They sit within a specially stainless steel trough with grates across the front. This was designed to make a wash-down style of clean up very quick and easy. New heating, ventilating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, and a new 5,000 gallon grease interceptor were included in the design of the project.
