For the TV studio of the Austrian telecommunications provider, destilat developed a design concept that offers a calm and reserved stage for the concise corporate identity of UPC. Floor and walls combine to form a harmonious unit thanks to their matt white surfaces. Only two distinctive basic elements are embedded in this reduced white cube. On the one hand there is a huge frame, also matt white, which spans two sides of the room in a generous cove and appears to be floating in the room thanks to the wall mounting. The logo was partially inscribed in this frame and the blue screen was integrated, which is backed by colored areas, which in turn pick up the logo schematically. A stele with an elliptical cross-section on a mobile, equally elliptical base acts as a simple standing desk that can be positioned anywhere in the room, depending on the broadcast format. The special thing about this design concept is that the room boundaries are largely dissolved by the continuous white color scheme and the furniture also merges with the room. The interior is as neutral as it is subtly inscribed in the viewer's memory. The TV studio is a logical further development of the corporate architecture that destilat developed for UPC and which was used in UPC shops, offices, exhibition stands and sales modules throughout Austria and helped the brand to achieve a memorable, architectural appearance.
