The law firm Binder Grösswang, one of the largest law firms in Austria, commissioned destilat to develop a new interior design concept for the premises in the 1st district of Vienna. destilat designed a new entrance for the law firm with reception, meeting rooms and general areas that can be used flexibly for various events. The concept provides for the very restless and formally inhomogeneous existing situation of the law firm to be replaced by a “2. Skin" made of dark wooden slats in combination with light, large-format fine stone and to create clearly legible spatial structures. These two heavy and hard materials are complemented by the use of textile floor coverings and translucent curtain panels. The serious, serious charisma is thus refreshed by the somewhat lighter, airy appearance of the textile component and gives the appearance the self-confident flair of a modern, internationally active company.
