Johnson’s pavilion 1949, is presented in a
sketch format to illustrate another point of view into
the glass house. Seen in this view are furnishing
designed by Mies van de Rohe, the customized fire
place with storage lockers as a section divider.
Finishes such as glass, charcoal-painted steel and
brick are represented through textures and pattern
drawn accordingly to its kind, along with nature.
This drawing was accomplished through the
uses of pen, trace paper, design tools, scale,
The Glass House floor plan, inspirational pictures
and research. There was no designing involved in
the process however, an understanding of the space
and materials used to create an original masterpiece.
