Hen’s Residence is a project completed for
building construction and systems to demonstrate
the materials, functions and foundations used for
particular building types. The constructed model
presented in the photographs showcase the process
of a Light Clay Construction 3-D model from start
to completion using proper materials and planning.
Materials uses consist of 1: Foam core for the
foundation base along with plaster and dirt in place
of concrete. 2: Framing made of balsa wood and pins
in substitute of nails. 3: Light clay construction (rich
clay soil, concrete and straw bale) as wall installation.
and 4: Straw bale in substitute of a Thatch roofing
system. 100% natural materials used in the process.
