Together through space planning, finishes, materials,
details, form and function I had developed a night club
called “Baroques’ Beauty and the Beast Dance Lounge.”
Within the design of the night club there are key
fundamentals for the concept of burlesquing. These
fundamentals include a stage for performers, wardrobe
rooms, a full bar, a powder room/restroom, and outdoor
entry with a coat check, private booth seating, functional
tables and chairs and most of all, the dance floor.
A ribbon of 3-Form represents wainscot paneling in
a contemporary form, outlined with ebony railing. Ebony
hardwood flooring from Armstrong is provided through-
out the club for a classical elegant touch of power and
design. Purple and white terrazzo make up for the intricate
design within the space reaching across the club floor, up
the columns, and continuing onto the ceiling.
