Our Get Lectured rundowns of this term’s events and public speaking series continue today with a look at what’s in store for the University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture.
A packed slate kicks off with a lecture from LTL Architects’ Paul Lewis on Wednesday, January 24. His appearance is followed by studio:indigenous founder Chris Cornelius on January 31. Author and design for disability specialist Sara Hendren stops by campus next for a discussion of her new book, What Can a Body Do? How We Meet the Built World, on February 5, followed by a lecture from Katherine Chia and Arjun Desai of Desai Chia Architecture on February 7.
February continues with a lecture from UCL Bartlett School of Architecture professor Mario Carpo on February 12. Lisa Iwamoto and Craig Scott of IwamotoScott Architecture follow Carpo on February 26, and the month ends on February 28 with a lecture from Mattaforma’s Lindsey Wikstrom. Susana Rojas Saviñón and Hortense Blanchard of Estudio Ome speak next on March 4, followed by the semester’s final lecture event featuring artist Claudia Wieser on March 27.
