For me Homeboy is less like Hans Belmer distorts and more like Dare Wright's The Lonely Doll, a series of photo-books by 50s-60s fashion model Dare Wright featuring her alter-ego the Lonely Doll.
Reading too much again,,,, both Homeboy and Lonely Doll share a common 'i want to return home' psychology. Personification at its best.
I like the Tupperville panel the very best. It reminds me of Silicaboy...
