skate or die!!!
hope this one will get built in the future, cuz, there 're couple examples some times back, that some up-scale competitions intended for realization, got dumped due to local politics and bureaucracy...
Good luck !!!
good one javier.
As Jeff Kipnis would say, pay attention to the "sausage problem".
Love this project! Can't wait.
check out toyo's ode to the gingerbread man facade (two fat, two thin). that's my little pritzker candidate...
This has to be one of my favorite projects right now!!
yes, this is exciting and the study models are promising... it could be the realization of the pneus systems that AA EmTech-ers, et al, have been looking for - volumes expand resulting in (negative) pneumatic overlapped geometries ... or gingerbread men on the facade. the missed opportunity is the plan - with all the geometric gymnastics, the standard arced + raked seating in theater seem forced?
related?
Check this website (in trdational-chinese) out, there are more photos/text.

i can't believe you like this project. pritzker?
If we are picking precedents, i'd have to nominate Minifie Nixon's submission to the Archilab conference in 2001. Eerily similar:

Toyo Ito is one of my favorite architects. However, talking about precedents, it just seems overly similar to erwin hauer's work
