A brand new and welcoming retail scene has arrived on Roosevelt Island. With over 100,000 SF or underutilized retail space available, the owner decided to take the opportunity to beautify the retail arcades to attract new and relevant businesses. The project entailed a facelift to 5 of the major arcades on the Island including lighting and lighting controls upgrades as well as providing the infrastructure for tenant electrical power, toilet exhaust, temporary heating and louvers for future air conditioning. Thanks to these improvements, the island is more appealing to the local residents and more inviting for those who previously may not have traveled to Roosevelt Island. EP worked on all MEP aspects of the project.
