Jackson's Fractal Signature
Physics professor uses fractal analysis to deduces the authenticity of recently discovered Pollock paintings. The technique looks for geometric patterns that recur in the paintings despite the apparent chaos of Pollock's technique. Reuters

very interesting. a friend of mine presently trying to authenticate a large drip painting said to be by pollock. his grandfather knew pollock but they have no record, signiture or anything to go by other than grandfather worked for lacma. they are in the middle of it and already met experts from getty, moca and pollock foundation. i've seen the painting when they brought it to my studio rolled in a tube. it is beautiful and approx. 4' x 9' +,-. this guy is a step away from being homeless. i hear all the developments like how paul shimmell met them in moca in off hours and etc. a lot of people seems like they want to snatch the painting from greg's hands. but he is from cal tech and very brite.. some film people friends wanted to the documentary on them (greg and his confidante alp). very interesting story. it has been unfolding last few mounths. i really don't think greg want to part with the painting even though he could really use the money. he is in his late 60's. stops in my office and likes to talk about pierre koenig. he told me if the painting sells for millions he would like me to design him a modern house kind of like koenig's. he is one those guys who is near homeless with great education and past and with a most likely authentic jackson..
the painting is yellow, red, black and dominantly blue not unlike the ones posted. he'll be all over the news ones the pinting is authenticated. i cross my fingers for greg.
i tell you if greg's painting is not jackson pollock, it is done by someone better than him..
what if Jackson Pollock took acid when he painted the canvi in question. Would fractal logic work on psychotic episodes?
also came to greg's attention that, collectors and museums don't want the market overflooded with pollocks. appearently he's painted a lot and not necessarily authenticanted great number of them. it is weird business one so called expert says 'no it ain't' and the whole painting goes to obscurity. greg is slowly building consensus behind the lime light right now.
Now someone could steal the fractal algorithm and build a robot that makes authentic Jackson Pollocks.
what an idea! I was only thinking of cloning Jackson to do my collection.
'i got me a jackson'
Michael or Jermaine?
update; my jackson is gone after paying for #15 with black bean sauce.
