Charles and Ray Eames introduce their brand new Lounge Chair on the Arlene Francis "Home" show, broadcast on NBC in 1956, parts one and two. Just wonderful, and - sadly - unimaginable today...
blip - Dwell magazine had an inflation adjusted cost some time ago (last winter?), I'll see if I can find it around. If I remember correctly the chair costs less today than it did back then once you factor in inflation.

Oh my god.....the lighting dims....the music comes up...the scrim raises....and did the color come in right at that moment, like Dorothy entering Oz?
What fun. They were amazing in every respect. Thanks.
