Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
LACMA extension's design development documents exhibition by Renzo Piano and his workshop, is a telling story of their approach, methods, and skills for this well contested project and museum venue. His westward expansion of the County Museum, which will arguably be the most spread out major museum in the world, perhaps an accidental analogy to its now cosmopolitan location, Los Angeles. Project deals with this circulation issue rather relentlessly and resolve other program requirements in safest, devoid of experimental and plain pragmatic ways that the architect is known for his museum models to chose from. When completed, the project will have a typical blue chip art culture impact on the city with publicized fund raising parties etc., attended by the people who abandoned much more interesting OMA's winning entry for the LACMA competition.
