PROJECT DESCRIPTION: From Tulou to housing design

The project aims to analyze the different elements of Tulou, a traditional Chinese collective house, and apply them to the new project with modern architectural land-waiter its centrality and loop corridors, the traditional kind of  house is suitable for communication to take place, yet at the same time it also provides quiet spaces for those who favor tranquillity than activity. The lower part, which is designed primarily for the young people, tends to be compact and with public activity spaces deliberately inserted into it. While the upper part, which is more suitable for the elderly, consists of living cubes organized disorderly, and the gardens for activity come naturally.

Besides, another element which derives from the Tulou comes to these two kinds of relations, which are the syntagmatic relation and the associative relation. Which can also be applied to the formation of a new kind of collective house.
