For the past two years, I worked as a graduate architect in Design Collaborative Inc. in Fort Wayne, Indiana. At Design Collaborative Inc., I have participated in different projects in various fields, including higher education, mixed-use developments, multi-family residential, and master planning. Some of these projects were new developments while others included renovations and additions. My main role comprised of assisting the design team on projects from the pre-schematic phase through construction documents; aiding the team with programming and space planning to assess client and project needs; exploring project layouts and developing designs in 3D by using Revit, SketchUp or Rhino; promoting project presentations in renderings, physical models and diagrams; supporting construction administration on site, etc.
I am working to become a registered architect and recently passed one ARE exam and I am enrolled in NCARB Architectural Experience Program (AXP). I am interested in sustainable design and I have achieved a LEED AP® BD+C credential.
I also gained professional experience as an intern at Zeybekoglu Nayman Associates and Kengo Kuma and Associates. I am comfortable in performing a wide range of job duties. In both companies, I was able to participate in various projects, including housing, hotel, and mixed-use commercial development. I am a motivated self-starter and I am confident in handling pressure and effectively time arrangement.
My undergraduate degree at China’s Central Academy of Fine Arts, with study-abroad experience in Oslo School of Design and Architecture, and my graduate degree from Rhode Island School of Design have provided me a solid foundation in architecture. Thus, I am adept at carrying out a wide variety of design and can readily conceptualize new ideas as needed.
