In 1996, my firm did some minor renovations to a small live music venue on South Street in Philadelphia. The theater was actually three properties, an old theater, and two abutting row homes. These renovations included designing and installing a new mezzanine, and opening up a party wall of the front adjacent row house to connect the bar area. In 2004, we did additional work, ripping out the old projection booth, and expanding further into the upper stories of the front row home to make the second floor more viewing area, and the third floor the relocated office space that was in the projection booth. Egress, and maximizing the occupancy for ticket sales were the main code issues. The series of photoshopped montages presented here was a proposal for the interiors after all of the renovation work was completed. The colors were implemented, but not the graphics.
