Programming, planning, and design of a 432-bed, 450,000 sf replacement psychiatric hospital in association with the Freelon Group of Raleigh, North Carolina.  The new Central Regional Facility includes patient populations consisting of Geriatric, Adult Rehabilitation, Adolescent, Clinical Research, Forensic, Medical, Deaf, and Pre-Trial.  The facility is centered on a treatment mall where the majority of patients receive care in a campus like setting through structured classes.  The facility also includes a cafeteria, administration, outpatient service center, and other requirements for a freestanding state-of-the-art psychiatric hospital.
