Best Outdoor Living Space for an Attached Community

NJ Builder’s Association’s annual Sales and Marketing Awards announced Nine on the Hudson as the Best Outdoor Living Space for an Attached Community developed by K. Hovnanian Homes and designed by Marchetto Higgins Stieve Architects!

This award deserving and stunning 13-story Port Imperial condominium delivers an urban oasis with river and Manhattan skyline views, spectacular social spaces, ample amenities, and luxurious residences. With waterfront resort-style living that brims with exquisite details and personalized features, Nine on the Hudson is a 278-unit luxury condominium which derives its form from its location at the edge of the Hudson River, across from Manhattan in West New York, New Jersey which is just north of Jersey City and Hoboken. The saw tooth V-form plan is designed to maximize direct views to Manhattan with most homes featuring floor-to-ceiling windows. The south wing steps down to the river at a precise angle for the pool deck to capitalize on sunlight. This tiered terraced design allows for an abundance of private outdoor opportunities with unparalleled Manhattan views.  Nine’s distinctive architectural form playfully communicates with BIG’s VIA and Enrique Norten’s Mercedes House on Manhattan’s west side symbolically connecting Nine on the Hudson with its neighbors across the street, or in this case the river.

There’s also the commuter-friendly, TOD location — less than a mile away, the Port Imperial Ferry Terminal offers a ten-minute ride to Midtown Manhattan. The Hudson River Waterfront Walkway is just steps from the building and a variety of stores, restaurants, and grocery options are less than two blocks from Nine’s front door.
