A little about me
I received an undergraduate degree in
Environmental Design from
Texas A&M in May 2005, and I began the M.S. in Visualization Sciences program in September of 2005. During my three year undergraduate career, I studied abroad in Barcelona with
Miguel Roldan, and I plan to return to Barcelona this summer as an intern in his office.
I chose the
Viz Lab originally because of its connections with the film and animation industry, namely, the affiliations with Pixar and ILM. After my study abroad experience in Barcelona during my last semester of undergraduate school, my interests completely shifted to architecture and urban design. The Viz Lab allows for so much flexibility in the degree plan that I am able to take plenty of architectural design courses as electives to supplement the technical training I am receiving as a student in the Lab.
I also teach an undergraduate course in the College of Architecture in Visualization. It's basically a survey of just about everything you could ever want to be introduced to in the fields of architecture and visualization. Here is a small gallery of some of the work my students did during my first semester as a teacher:

The most popular section seems to be the one so aptly named "
Pimp My Prof," which has gained some notoriety in and around our architecture buildings.
