Images emerge in the gallery of a "secretive water treatment plant" in Connecticut suburbia. Who is behind this project and how come the Whitney name is associated with it? We'd like to know some more (contact), but this page at Steven Holl's website seems to imply that it is: a) part of the Whitney in Hamden; b) a water facility and park; and c) their handywork. Here's the project page on Holl's site.
thanks archidose!
It has nothing to do with The Whitney (museum) -- the Whitney comes from Lake Whitney, which it is beside. It's Whitney as in Eli Whitney, of cotton gin fame.
