Gehry Buildings in L.A. to Be Demolished
One building targeted for likely demolition is the Santa Monica Place shopping mall, completed in 1980, the other a blockish, stucco structure built 19 years ago on the University of California, Irvine campus. AP

There are some early Gehry projects which I definitely do think need to preserved almost at any cost. As a fresh tadpole in the architecture world, Gehry's three little pigs and the one house on Horizon Ave (I think that's where it is...) really crystalized what a lot of the west coast ideas were all about.
ICS/ERL, University of California at Irvine was a 1987 AIA Honor Award BTW
