The famous Nobu restaurant sets foot in Los Angeles, after starting small in that city years ago. Situated in La Cienega Boulevard, a major north–south arterial road in LA, the proposal is a renovation of a French style restaurant. There were a series of classic looking arches that needed to be worked upon in order to convey the established atmosphere of Nobu. The space evolves around two dining areas, a sushi bar and a main bar. Another key feature is the outdoor seating, carefully placed behind green walls facing Cienega Blvd. Wall textures and a very personal lighting atmosphere are strong design elements.
