The Terrain, bought to build a weekend house, is located in a rural rocky site next to the dam of La Falda City, Province of Córdoba. As the lot is at a corner with a huge slope from the north to the south, the project proposal was to use that quality so as to organize the functional program. At the south and lower part of the site it would be inserted, directly into the rocks, the “Quincho”, a Service Building of the Argentinian tradition where is usually placed the grill next to a small kitchen and a dining room. Particularly in this situation, it would happen that the dining room would also be a Garage, and it would appear a toillete, a deposit and the bottom of a pool. The last one would be accessible from the “Quincho´s” inner Courtyard, where it could be found the grill and to two stairs: one going to the Decked Terrace, where the pool is, and another one that connects the “Quincho” with the rest of the house.
In regards to the House itself, it would be suspended above the slope touched only by the concrete columns, opposed to the “Quincho´s” idea of Insertion. Then, it would also be divided into two levels, the lower one, with the private rooms, and the upper one with the public spaces and the main entrance from the higher street. When talking about materials, the project would be shaped, almost completely, by a concrete cast in situ structure and a walls´ coating made of the stones extracted from the site.
