boo! just when you thought i had disappeared for good, last one by ken shuttleworth (his own house).
ok, something reasonably new...
finally! shades of ito...
indeed definitely a big nod in his direction, i love the internal 'stretched chewing gum columns'
does the pattern become the exterior circulation?
yup, and the interior ain't shabby either
Shades of Brazilia ?
Ha ha -- sorry. . .
All I know is that contractors around here wouldn't be able to build it.
I think a rendering of this building in the automated builder magazine - something on micro concrete panels...
I meant to say - I think I saw a rendering ...
3deluxe - Leonardo Glass Cube, Bad Driburg, Germany
Botta, St Mary of the Angels, Ticino?
i don't think it's botta... his chapels have a rounder finish, not as precise and clean. i was thinking portugal. seems more like Paulo David's Centro das Artes
holz.box does it again!
Anyone know anything about this guy. he has been published in A+U, won a Mies Van der Rohe Award in 2005 and has an office in Funchal but no web presence...
Sorry - thats a question[?] And it is Paulo David. Lovely building.
i can't find a website for paulo david, but that doesn't seem to be out of the ordinary for arquitectos portuguese ... and i'm lazy today, so no cheating...
ah, well thats King Roselli's Library for the Pontificial Lateran University in Roma...
i know this one, it's in australia!
schank house, which features some really interesting passive cooling techniques. next up:wnba code of conduct, or how to turn a cornershades of rudolf
bump a doodle doo... i thought this would be simple, since we've done at least 3 of their other projects
exterior beton-age
[Now, that's a Photoshopped sculpture, isn't it ?] The house is surely avalanche-proof. I like the modeling. . .
it looks like it. it's swiss if that helps...
oos?
maybe Oestreich + Schmid, their webpage is down, so i can't confirm... oos has a similar building made of wood...that's why i thought it could've been them ( haus schudel)
GOOD GUESS BUT NO
prev..

- Haus Presenhuber
si. finally!
Quite a vault -- makes Tugendhat look like an amusement park. . .
I dunno… seems in line w/ other concrete swiss houses of late…
argh sorry... moving offices today, finally got the computers back online and i'm about to pass out from moving 30 boxes of tile samples. the next :
kinda b&e-ish on the interior...
yeah definitely... after 26 pages of this thread you begin to see a lot of influences and/or similarities between them. some more images: I'll post some images of other works by the firm in a bit if no one gets it, they have some gorgeous projects.
now why would you want a window that opens in an office?
aaaaaaaand some more from the same firm:
that's mahler gunster fuchs, i think..
so german emb. in tokyo. they've improved greatly since i stopped by the office, it seems.
yup! agreed, a lot of their most recent projects are beautifully designed and detailed, but the B&E similarity is pretty striking... back to you
prolific and rel. under starchitect radar... but better than most....
b & e altenried woodworking center
too easy?!? yer up
ha plus the mention of b&e a post above. definitely better then most tho
i was hoping it would trip people up... oh well. yeah, the multi family housing can't be beat. it's a good model.
they're getting pretty large too, 6 offices and counting... i hope (but highly doubt) we'll see a stateside office open.
