Its interim crit next monday and right now frantically digitizing all my sketches and little diagrams. My tutor for this semester insists on a high aesthetic value even during discussions and since tomorrow will be the last studio session with him before interim, i'm trying to get as many done as possible so that he can give me a more constructive critique.
quotes from tutor's email to the studio:
"Dear all
So far we've been looking at loose sheets of papr and lots of words in notebooks...
Need to chang the format of how we communicate in studio turoring sessions"
"Please organise your content aesthetically
Make your study drawings and models objects of desire, inspiration, curiosity"
"PLEASE PRINT OUT YOUR GROUP WORK AND INDIVIDUAL STUDIES AND PIN THEM UP ON YOUR STUDIO SPACE FOR REFERENCE
Pin up properly and aesthetically"

Eek! Good luck! I go back and forth on whether having to think about pin-up aesthetics so early on (and just for desk crits) inhibits your creative process or whether it is *always* good to have an eye on the final presentation... one kid I knew said "never do a drawing you couldn't show at your final crit" but I went back and forth and back and forth and back and forth over whether I agreed with that advice.
