Hi Archinect!
This post is as advertised. "Site visit" on Saturday, September 3, 2011 to our site from last semester's studio project--Flushing Meadows.
[I was crouched in the bushes like a pervert to take this photo. Tennis fans, you know that I know that you know who this is.]
Now I'm back at my desk in Cambridge, and I've got a lot of catching up to do over the next few days. I just hope that my critics don't see this. I'm in Weiss/Manfredi's studio, by the way! It's gonna be, uh, almost as fun as tennis.
Oh, and Dean Mostafavi announced that there will likely be a study abroad program in Rotterdam with Rem Koolhaas in coming semesters, and that the Herzog and de Meuron thesis students may spend the semester in Basel. If this is the result of increasing space constraints in Gund Hall, then I'm all for it!
Thanks for looking!

This blog was most active from 2009-2013. Writing about my experiences and life at Harvard GSD started out as a way for me to process my experiences as an M.Arch.I student, and evolved into a record of the intellectual and cultural life of the Cambridge architecture (and to a lesser extent, design/technology) community, through live-blogs. These days, I work as a data storyteller (and blogger at Littldata.com) in San Francisco, and still post here once in a while.
