A portion of the famous Dumbarton Oaks Gardens, owned by Harvard University has been designated to be the site for a new residence for four visiting scholars to do research.
By causing indoor and outdoor spaces to overlap, the house becomes part of the garden encouraging interacting with the visitors as well allowing the occupants to experience the garden in privacy.
